John Heike CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, CASL®, CAP®, RICP®
John Heike is a Co-Founder of Waznik Heike Group and a Financial Advisor registered with LPL Financial. Originally from Durand, WI, John attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where he graduated from the Carlson School of Management with a focus in finance.
John began his career at the Woodbury Financial Services home office, serving as a registered principal. In 2011, he joined Leverty Financial Group in Hudson, WI, where he mentored new financial advisors on financial planning and investments before transitioning to a client-facing advisory role. In 2016, he joined the Waznik Moseler Group under Woodbury Financial Services. In 2019, he founded Heike Wealth Management. In May 2024, he reunited with Brad Waznik to establish the Waznik Heike Group, which today includes a team of advisors and support staff dedicated to serving clients.
John focuses on comprehensive financial planning, investment strategies, and helping individuals and families work toward their long-term financial goals.
On a personal note, John and his wife Brittany have been married for 16 years and are the parents of three children—Olivia, Drew, and Allie. John is active in his community, serving as president of the Durand Education Foundation, and on the St. Joseph's Parish and Finance Councils, among other board roles.
Kyle Thorpe
Kyle Thorpe is a Financial Advisor at Waznik Heike Group with 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He focuses on helping individuals and families work toward retirement and make the most of their financial resources once they get there.
Kyle's approach is grounded in honesty and a commitment to giving advice as if he were in his client's shoes. Jon Storing
Jon Storing is a Financial Advisor at Waznik Heike Group with seven years of experience in the financial services industry. He holds his SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses with LPL Financial, as well as a life insurance license. Jon graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a degree in Finance.
Jon's day-to-day activities include meeting with clients to review portfolios and financial plans, facilitating trades, and following up on client service requests. He specializes in portfolio analysis and implementation, as well as comprehensive financial planning, including retirement timelines, tax planning considerations, and estate planning integration.
Jon approaches client relationships as a steward of trust, with an emphasis on attention to detail and ensuring clients are informed and equipped to make decisions aligned with their goals. He and his family are longtime residents of Elk Mound, WI. Outside of work, Jon enjoys bow hunting, spending time at the lake, and time with his children.
Tyler Schroyer ChFC®
Tyler Schroyer is a Financial Advisor at Waznik Heike Group, where he has been a member of the team since 2022. Tyler works with clients to address their financial needs, including investment strategies and protection planning. He has a particular interest in helping clients understand their financial options and develop a plan for retirement.
Outside of the office, Tyler and his wife Angie are the parents of two boys, Miles and Brooks. The family stays busy with youth sports activities. Tyler also enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
Coltin Brehm
Coltin Brehm is a Financial Advisor at Waznik Heike Group with more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in retirement planning, estate planning, and insurance strategies, meeting individually with clients to help them identify and work toward their financial goals and objectives.
Coltin is known for his approachable, straightforward style and strives to ensure clients feel confident in the direction of their financial plans. He was drawn to the profession by a desire to help people and finds fulfillment in guiding clients through important financial decisions. Outside of the office, Coltin is an avid outdoorsman and has served as a wrestling coach at Menomonie High School for 16 years. He and his wife, Nicolette, are the parents of three children—Baylor, Collins, and Scottie.
Jerry Hagman Jr.
Jerry Hagman Jr. is a Financial Advisor at Waznik Heike Group with more than 38 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined the firm in May 2019 and works with clients in the areas of retirement planning, investment management, and insurance strategies.
Prior to joining Waznik Heike Group, Jerry's background includes experience as a trading floor specialist at the Chicago Stock Exchange and as the owner of a market-making broker-dealer firm in Chicago, IL, where he focused on equities, commodities, and options. He takes a holistic approach to addressing the financial needs of each client and works to build relationships based on trust and confidence.

Gene LaRock, CLU, ChFC, ChSNC, WMCP, RICP serves as a Financial Advisor at Waznik Heike Group, where he provides oversight of client accounts and helps individuals and families make confident financial decisions. With more than three decades of experience in financial services, Gene brings seasoned perspective, steady guidance, and a thoughtful approach to every client relationship.
Gene specializes in retirement income planning and is especially passionate about supporting families who have a child with special needs, helping them build long-term financial strategies that provide stability, protection, and confidence. Clients rely on him for practical guidance, sound judgment, and clear direction when navigating important financial choices.
His approach to client service centers on asking the right questions, listening closely to what matters most, and building personalized plans designed to achieve meaningful goals. Gene prioritizes ongoing connection and proactive communication so clients feel supported and confident that their plans stay on track. Above all, he wants every client to feel comfortable and secure with the strategy they’ve built together.

Outside of work, Gene enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, and making memories with family at his lake home. He and his wife, Cindy, have been married for 40 years and are proud parents of four children and grandparents to three grandchildren. Gene has also served—and continues to serve—on the boards of several community organizations, reflecting his commitment to giving back.
Originally drawn to financial services by a desire to help families save and build their futures, Gene finds the greatest reward in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those he serves. Before entering financial services, Steve managed multi-million-dollar budgets and led teams across nine states launching retail products for a major supplier—experience that shaped his leadership style and focus on building a clear vision for success.
Outside of work, Steve is active in his church community, presents children’s sermons, and serves as a Director for the Amery Community Club, helping local businesses connect and grow. He also enjoys golfing and is an avid hockey fan.
